Public Service and Parliamentary Leadership

Parliament & National Leadership

First elected as Member of Parliament for Central Imenti in 1997, he returned to Parliament in 2007 and served during the 10th Parliament from 2008 to 2013. His parliamentary service included participation in several committees and the Speaker's Panel, including service as a Temporary Deputy Speaker.

His public service extended beyond Kenya through the Pan-African Parliament, where he participated in parliamentary sessions and served on the Committee on Rules, Privileges and Discipline. He also chaired the Great Lakes Parliamentary Forum on Peace, engaging with regional issues of peace, governance and cooperation.
